At Onyx Dragon, we aim to provide accurate and up-to-date product information at all times. All product listings are updated using live data supplied directly via third-party integrations from our suppliers.
However, please note the following:
- Some product listings may not yet display ingredient or allergen information where this has not been provided within the supplier’s automated integration feed.
- While this information could theoretically be added manually, doing so across a large catalogue is highly impractical and prone to error, which is why we rely on the supplier’s integration for accurate and consistent updates.
- Providing full ingredient and allergen information automatically through the supplier’s integration significantly reduces the risk of human error or omissions. For this reason, Onyx Dragon relies on the integration to ensure accurate and consistent data across all product listings, while still offering customers the ability to request any missing details via email.
- Customers may request full ingredient, allergen, or suitability information for any product prior to purchase by emailing us at contact@onyxdragon.co.uk.
- We strongly encourage customers with allergies or sensitivities to request confirmation before ordering if any detail is not visible on the product page.
Legal Responsibility
Under the UK Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013, the manufacturer or brand owner, such as Ancient Wisdom, is legally designated as the “Responsible Person” for each product. They are required to ensure:
- Product safety and compliance
- Accurate labeling, including full ingredient and allergen information
- Availability of a Product Information File (PIF) for regulatory inspection
As the retailer, Onyx Dragon is required to display this legally supplied information at the point of sale. Where integration data from the supplier is missing, Onyx Dragon documents reasonable reliance on the supplier and provides mechanisms for customers to request the full information prior to purchase.
Ultimately, the supplier (Ancient Wisdom) is responsible for providing complete and accurate ingredient and allergen information. Onyx Dragon cannot supply details that the supplier has not provided, but we will make the information available immediately once received.
Onyx Dragon is currently awaiting full ingredient and allergen information through the supplier’s integration. While the supplier has indicated that the data is optional, under UK law they are required to provide this information. Due to the large number of products, manual addition of this data would be operationally unsustainable and prone to error. We continue to liaise with the supplier to ensure that all legally required information is made available automatically, and customers may request any missing details directly via email prior to purchase.
Ongoing Improvements
We are actively working with our suppliers to ensure full ingredient and allergen visibility is integrated automatically across all listings. This includes:
- Regularly requesting updates from suppliers
- Monitoring data completeness and accuracy
- Ensuring customers can access all required compliance information
This process is ongoing, and product information is being updated on a rolling basis to ensure compliance with UK regulations.
