Weirdest Live Chat Moments – Volume 12: Bath Bomb Mortar Market Madness

Sometimes, we receive genuine business inquiries through our website. Other times… well, we get asked if we’d be willing to fire bath bombs out of a mortar at a market in Manchester.

Yes, really.

The request came in through our live chat, asking if Onyx Dragon could participate in a market event — which sounds reasonable, until the message went on to explain they had “a mortar” and wanted to shoot bath bombs from it. The event? The 4th of July. Not exactly a holiday known for calm energy, but even so, we were baffled.

Aside from the impracticality (we’re not local to Manchester), we couldn’t help but question the safety, legality, and general sanity of launching bath products through heavy weaponry — especially at a public event. Naturally, we politely declined.

But this wasn’t an isolated incident.

Over time, our live chat has seen a sharp increase in conversations that veer into dangerous or absurd territory, particularly involving weapons — from thermite-dipped incense to He-Man swords and now bath bomb ballistics.

Because of this pattern, we’ve made the decision to retire our live chat system. While we love engaging with genuine customers, we cannot condone or entertain conversations that make light of dangerous materials or imply harmful intentions.

Thanks to everyone who used our live chat for real, thoughtful queries. You’ll still be able to reach us via email or our contact page, and we’ll keep bringing you the best in holistic goods — no explosions necessary.
